Biography of McKenzie Myers
McKenzie Myers graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Texas Bible
College located in Lufkin, Texas. She continued her studies in Clinical Counseling with an
emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently completing her last year of the
Masters of Science in Counseling degree program at Hope International University located in
Fullerton, California. McKenzie currently practices as a Professional Counselor Associate in the
state of Texas under the supervision of Jennifer McCurrach, MA, LSSP, LPC-S.
During her graduate studies, she worked as a Registered Behavioral Therapist Technician
specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy with children and adolescents. McKenzie has
had the opportunity to work with people of all ages throughout her professional and ministerial
career. She has served as a youth leader in her local church under the leadership of Rev.Carl
McLaughlin in Euless, Texas and has mentored students from ages twelve to eighteen, as has
also worked within the school district of Euless mentoring Junior High School students.
In the course of her undergraduate studies at Texas Bible College, she served on the Texas
Ministerial Association team-leading crusades, preaching, teaching, and helping churches in the
Texas District. Prior to her degree, she worked in the medical field leading and administering
teams of nurses and healthcare professionals and has assisted as a life coach in the career field
aiding in mental health.
McKenzie has always had a burden for people but during the 2020
Pandemic, it grew even stronger as she felt the urgency to bring hope to her community.
McKenzie’s desire and passion lie in bridge-building, to show individuals that there
is hope. She intends to utilize a holistic clinical approach with an integration of biblical
foundational principles to benefit people as a whole.
