In our last post, we simply exposed the facts about luck. I was walking through grocery stores and driving downtown and I would see Leprechauns, Clovers, and other Luck-based items for sale and posted everywhere! It was the last week of February - March was practically upon us! I couldn't help but post something interesting about the idea of "Luck" and how we see coincidences as some kind of predestined and supernatural gifts from either the universe, or the divine.
Well, now it is March and there is even more societal propaganda about LUCK!... Don't read into this or get me wrong, I really don't have any qualms with the idea of luck or people having fun with the green month and the elementary school nostalgia that comes with it, but I do wonder if we notice how "lucky" we truly are.
Yes, they say war is upon us, possibly even world war - time will tell. Regardless of life's circumstances and consequences, I have a vehicle to get me from place to place. You might have a bed to sleep in... you might not. Maybe you're staying with family on a couch or worse. But at least you have that... some don't even have that. How are you reading this article? Be thankful for that device... even if it belongs to someone else.
Whatever "power" you believe in, you're blessed. I must say, God is good! We have seen hard times on this earth. Our ancestors warred for our freedoms. Even other races and nations warred on our behalf for our freedoms. Great things have been wrought in order for us to have the technological advancement, the safety and security, and social status that we are all privileged to have in our respective countries.
I don't assume that you have all that I have, just as you should not assume what I have. But we should all be thankful for that which we do have.
We are so lucky... I am so lucky... No... I am so blessed.
