Biography of Rosalyn James
​
Rosalyn earned her Master’s of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lamar University after which she became licensed as a mental health counselor. Her passion for helping others began in 2007 while working at the State School, and she has since dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families through various life challenges. Prior to pursuing her career in mental health, she was a certified interpreter of American Sign Language, serving the local community and school districts by bridging communication gaps and providing inclusive care.
Rosalyn completed her mental health internship with the Fort Bend County Mental Health Department, specializing in counseling adults with childhood trauma, suicide prevention, depression, and anxiety. She is also EMDR basic trained, equipping her with effective tools for trauma-focused therapy.

In addition to her professional experience, Rosalyn has spent the last 15 years teaching
and mentoring in local churches, offering guidance and support to individuals of all ages in various life stages. With experience counseling individuals from ages eight to eighty, she is committed to fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth for those she serves.
